The Training Sessions
All P.L.A.Y.S. training sessions are designed from Power Exercise
Program (PEP) cards. The coach uses these pre-determined training
session cards to lead the recreational athlete through the day's training session.
Each training session contains three basic components (Two 15 minute blocks
each):
- Warm-up
- Movement
- Strength and Power
Before each training session, the athlete checks in at the front desk by scanning
his or her PEP card. The coach then moves the athlete to a different area every
15 minutes. The training sessions are comprised of the following activities:
- General Warm-up
- Dynamic Mobility Warm-up
- Movement Skill (Linear or Multi-Directional
Movement)
- Applied Movement Skill
- Strength, Power and Balance (exercises determined
from individual workout cards)
- Static Stretches to Cool Down
After completing the P.L.A.Y.S. training program, ask
about our On-going Developmental Programs.
These programs help reinforce the lessons learned by
the recreational athlete, helping him or her to minimize
risk of injury and maximize enjoyment of recreational
sports on an ongoing basis.
